My entire family, from my niece to my father, love P Ramlee movies. We can watch each of them for tens of times and still laugh at the same parts every time. So do most of my friends. Belle can even repeat the lines.

I was trapped in a bad traffic along Jalan Genting Kelang one day and saw the signboard to Pustaka Peringatan P Ramlee* and decided to make a detour while traffic eased. It's a tiny museum but probably enough for the fans.

My favourite P Ramlee movie is most probably Tiga Abdul, and my favourite song from the legend's many movies is probably Malam Bulan Dipagar Bintang from Pendekar Bujang Lapok. Grab your sewing kit, put on your kain batik and kebaya, sit by the window, look at the beautiful moon in the sky, click here for the video and sing your heart out (although I kind of think not everyone should be topless, especially with kain pelikat).

*The only exhibit they allow you to take pictures of is P Ramlee's last car, a Datsun, displayed outside of the house, unless you furnish a permission letter from Arkib Negara for a school research project (or if you come with an accomplice to cover for you, I think).
