"FASTEN YOUR SEATBELTS"
This is an episode which highlight is Wardog tripping at the reward challenge.
There were three people left out of the Kelley vote — Lauren, Gavin and Julie. Lauren is mad at Wardog and now out for blood. Gavin is also pissed for being "talked to like a dog" by Wardog. But miraculously, Julie tells Ron that she's not angry at him.
"I don't hold anything against you, Ron. Please, I'm not like that. I'm not super emotional, as emotional as I am in this game," she says.
Rick, Wardog and Ron talk about shielding each other, being each other's biggest threat in the game right now. Well, Rick and Wardog mostly. Ron confesses that he still can be anyone's ally at this point, and despite working together in the last vote, he does think that Wardog is a loose cannon.
Lauren, Ron, Victoria, Aurora and Gavin are talking about voting out Rick, while Ron also doesn't get along with Aurora. The two arguing about how much rice to cook is fascinating to watch. Aurora tells us that Ron is a drama queen, and Ron says that he needs two million dollars for living with Aurora — making Aurora's gift last week even weirder. But I guess it's good for him to return the extra vote to gain her trust and lull her into security if he wants to blindside her in the future.
But this is before Rick wins another immunity. So when Rick does, Ron asks Victoria, Aurora and Julie who they should vote for, and they quickly agree on Wardog. Ron, however, has started to weigh in on his conversation with Rick and Wardog — if one of them is voted out, the other two will be next to go. Meanwhile, Wardog is throwing Aurora's name out to Ron and Julie, and after some deliberation, they both seem to be on board with that.
So Julie, who bonded with Lauren during the reward, tells Lauren that they are voting for Aurora now, which Lauren agrees to. Then Julie asks Lauren if they're sure they shouldn't be voting for Wardog instead? What happens if they end up in the final three with Wardog? And just like that, 10 seconds later, it looks like they end up not sure of what to do.
In the end, the vote went 6-2 to Wardog:
Aurora, Gavin, Julie, Lauren, Ron and Victoria voted for Wardog.
Rick and Wardog voted for Aurora.
Ron and Aurora did have a conversation before tribal. So it seems like they managed to set aside their differences to get rid of a threat, for now.
Extinction Island is getting more crowded by the day, but no one has been able to drown Reem out yet. How many of us still remember that there is a Julia, a Chris and an Eric there? In fact, you are not getting the full Extinction experience if you are not welcomed to the island Reem-style — being told to your face how you've done her or life in general wrong. Seriously, they all deserve it, at least for the overtime pandering to the camera at tribal 🙊.
