Survivor 38, Episode 10

"BLOOD OF A BLINDSIDE"

It's a deja vu. We start the episode, again, with Kelley, Lauren and Wardog in a majority group of six, but this time, the other three are Gavin, Julie and Ron, instead of Gavin, Julia and Victoria. On top of that, they also have a name now, "Lesu 3", and are apparently "the power trio" currently "controlling the game". Wardog is even described as someone who's "playing a very good game".

Before the first tribal, the division was Kelley, Lauren and Wardog on one side, and David and Rick on the other.

Then we are shown the possibility of Aurora and Victoria siding with David and Rick, with Ron and Julie being the deciding vote. Julie seems to be on board with this more than Ron does, while Gavin is just floating somewhere in the air.

But the vote went 8-2 for David in the end. Looks like the "my brand is loyalty" didn't really work out for him:
Aurora, Gavin, Julie, Kelley, Lauren, Ron, Victoria and Wardog voted for David.
David and Rick voted for Wardog.

My god. I cannot care much about this episode. And there are still nine people left in the game!

*knocks head on desk*

Before the second tribal, Wardog rallies Victoria, Aurora and Rick in three super quick meetings to vote for Kelley. This is a huge blindside given their super friends status, so he cannot reveal it to many. But he needs another vote and that is Ron's, which is a little trickier since Ron is also Julie's best friend. And we all know how well Julie does when she's left out — not very.

Why did Aurora give Ron her extra vote advantage, though? In her words, "to gather favour"? That was strange.

Despite the idol, despite her instinct telling her that this seemed too easy, the vote went 5-4 to Kelley:
Aurora, Rick, Ron, Victoria and Wardog voted for Kelley.
Gavin, Julie, Kelley and Lauren voted for Aurora.

Finally.

And the first thing Kelley does at Extinction Island is snitch on Lauren and her idol #lol.

Also, if the only way back from Extinction Island to the game is by winning a challenge, that's one small breather, right? It means they can take a break from constantly having to be sneaky or suck up to one another? True, it must be super boring, and it seems like they have less food and practically no shelter too, but what a relief not to be drowned by paranoia for a bit, no?
