So I'm guessing this is the same case with you: When I was in primary school, we had this Rekod Bacaan where we recorded books that we read for the year, and the person who read the most* would receive a book or a geometry set an awesome prize. I won several of those because it was easy to win things when you were 10. Did I tell you that my mother had to discreetly bring a huge basket or bag every time we had Hari Penyampaian Hadiah at school because my name would be called up in practically every category I was in? True, it was a tiny school and all, and you can't compare them with the accomplishments of today's kids, but the point is I won those prizes -- in whatever condition that was....

People who say old photos should be kept because of their historical values are lying. Some time ago, while we were talking and watching movies at home (parents' place), someone took out our collection of old photos, which I'd already forgotten about, and we ended up laughing the whole hour looking at them. Since that day, I've been meaning to secretly throw away those photos that I don't like (we'll skip the psychoanalysis of this) and finally got to do so when I was there last Friday to fetch my parents. So I quickly went through the photos in my room and took them out one after another without thinking. How come I was so comot in most of these? Look at those of my siblings', they were at least acceptable . Or maybe, maybe... these people have already taken out the old photos that they don't like. I don't follow SYTYCD, but I saw this last weekend while flipping channels, waiting for my mother to get ready, and immediately fell in love with the song and the performance -- I don't know which one is more. I read this morning that the singer's career was practically launched by the show. The judges commented that the male dancer Billy didn't seem to connect with his partner, but I thought I saw his vulnerability and their connection. Then I saw this , The Garden by Mirah, and I like it too! ........... Ok, I'll love more of this if I watch more. Have a good week, everyone.

I sell my services for a living. I'm guilty of using some lame sales words myself, but I think nothing is worse than "Don't you want to achieve something for yourself?" spoken over the phone by a sales rep of a fitness centre. Dude, you'll cry if I start listing out my achievements. (Note: In real life, I do not condone the act of showing off and thinking so highly of oneself.)

I've been to a gym a few times before. But I've only exercised in there o-n-c-e. The other times, I was only relaxing at the steam room and sauna with a friend, then we went to have a drink at the cafe or juice bar? I can't remember. The only one time that I exercised, I was in the BodyJam class. It was... ok. But I'm not going back unless paid. There were years when I could eat whatever I wanted and still wear an XS. And I rarely worked out too. Maybe once every two years. Or five. Oh those times, and the magic of cooperative metabolism... Since I'm vain and still want to be in shape when I'm 40 (because, you know, Halle Berry is), or if we are being realistic, I need that shape more like now, I realize I have to start watching what I eat and... exercise! I still hate the gym. I've tried running but it never lasts. I run for a week, then I hibernate for eight months. Running around in circles really is torturous. Swimming is the only exercise ...

I was born tone-deaf and with two left feet. But sometimes when I'm alone in my car or in my room, I do alright. I'm currently listening to Grenade . I have to blog my thoughts on Justin Bi*b*r and pop culture: Spending hours on the internet on a Saturday night Squeezing some time out of my busy adult schedule, checking pop culture on the internet, I notice adults in general can't stand Justin Bi*b*r and would love the chance to crucify knock some sense into any kids screaming for him. Come on, whether you are 30 or 50, you were 15 once. At some point in your life, you must have been into pop culture too. *Nods meaningfully.* The process of looking for some red thread has taught me that today. First, I can't sew just like I can't cook, but I believe in the power of visualization. I get up very quickly from bed every morning, visualizing what breakfast I'm going to have that day. Second, I have this loose Thai pants that I wear to sleep that is a bit too long. I've been wearing it for quite some time, but today I thought the extra length was bothering me. So I was all ambitious and cut the legs off, folded and ironed the hem nicely, and took out the sewing kit that I must have gotten from a hotel somewhere. Halfway sewing* (*stitching), I ran out of red thread. I could continue using other colour thread but that would risk me losing sleep at night. I checked around the house, in case, just in case, I had subconsciously prepared myself for this situation and taken every sewing kit I found every time I slept in a hotel.
