Saturday

Recently, as a result of trying to focus on doing one thing at a time, I found that I can watch Bourne movies.

After a number of attempts, I finally managed to watch every minute of The Bourne Identity. Not five minutes watching, another five knitting. Kidding, I don't knit, not yet.

My short attention span multitasking habit is often making me miss a movie's plot, including the ending. So when they were showing The Bourne Ultimatum the following week, I waited eagerly in front of the TV like a full-grown adult in front of a candy store.

I've also just finished reading Jeffrey Archer's Prison Diary(s). Archer made life in prison sound bearable, although he kept stressing otherwise. Of course, it WASN'T bearable, but by the 89th day he was in prison, he was already making a lot of money times three by writing his third Prison Diary. Fletch, an inmate in the first volume, reminds me of Sleepers, one of my favourite movies till today.

I decided to skip the one open house invitation that I received this weekend. Let me help ease the traffic by staying in, inspecting my life, catching up with milk, Oreo and TV (mainly), and preparing for a meeting on Monday.

Soon, I'll be running out of DVDs for exercise. Not exercise DVDs, but movies that I watch to make me forget that I'm exercising, which is my new trick. I've finished 16 of them so far.

It was nice that I was served with a delicious home cooked pasta tonight. The real one. A change from my usual definition of home cooked pasta -- the sauce would be straight from the jar.

But right now I'm craving for (what I assume is) super-quick-to-make-biskut-Marie-butter-Milo cake that my sister always makes when she's here at my house. (I don't know if it has a name.) I think I want to go and try to make one. Do I need an oven? I've sent the oven back to my mother. But I surely need biskut Marie first. Sigh, I just can't get up from my chair to go to 7-Eleven right now.

On another note, no one I know likes Bond movies or Daniel Craig. Come-on.

Update Nov '08: Just finished reading Jeffrey Archer's A Prisoner of Birth, a fiction unlike the three prison diaries. How does he get away with repeating parts of his previous books and still get me hooked every time?
