"ARE YOU FEELING LUCKY"
Yeah, they are all back at camp after the Gabby vote, awkwardly fist-bumping Christian, who says, at 15 votes now, he's close to the Survivor record for having the most votes, which is 19.
But the bigger story is Nick making a fake idol and hiding it under the raft, then pretending to find it in front of Christian, Angelina and Mike, which according to him will stop everyone from looking for a new idol. What?
Why are you giving off the impression that you have two idols when you only have one??
Davie is not buying this, by the way, so he keeps looking for the idol.
For reward the next day, each player has to race through an obstacle course while attached to a rope that has to be untangled long enough, allowing them to knock on a set of blocks using a bunch of sandbags. The winner will be taken to a beach club by helicopter and enjoy a ton of food. Davie wins and chooses to bring Nick. Jeff allows a second person to be picked and asks if anybody wants to plead their case.
Ugh. We know where this is going...
"I hate to pull this card..." Angelina starts. But Davie picks Kara, the person that he says has been looking out for him since Vuku.
Back at camp, Angelina's tribemates listen to another round of her "How lucky you are to have me getting you rice."
Meanwhile at reward, the madness begins. Davie tells Kara that he thinks Nick is currently in possession of two idols, so he wants to blindside Nick. Kara tells this to Alison, asking her to leave Mike and Angelina out of the plan to avoid it reaching Nick's ears. But, of course, Alison relays what she has just learned to Mike. Mike is excited to see what he's going to do with the info and wants to... surprise himself?
Davie's search for an idol lands him a clue to an advantage to be retrieved on the other side of the island. The advantage turns out to be an idol with a twist: it's only good for the next tribal. However, he can wager his next vote if he plays a game and chooses the correct urn that extends the life of the idol up to three tribals.
So he prays for a sign, which is apparently sent to him in the form of fire direction, telling him to take the idol for just one tribal and not to wager his vote.
For immunity, each player has to stand on another narrow perch and balance several balls added at intervals on a disc, and Twitter is so ready for the semiannual Survivor Balls Convention.
Mike wins the immunity. And back at camp, everyone wants to vote for everyone.
First, Nick wants to vote for Alison, not realizing that most of them are set to vote for him.
Then, Mike wants to vote for Christian and tries to talk to some of them about it, but it seems like no one is budging.
At one point, Nick tells Davie about his fake idol, which softens Davie and compels him to change his mind. Now Davie wants to vote for Alison.
Worried seeing Nick is still talking to Christian, Mike later tells Nick that Davie is gunning for him. So now Nick wants to change his vote from Alison to Davie.
And I'm close to getting a headache keeping track of all these plans.
At tribal, Davie plays his idol first. Then Nick plays his fake idol to get a read of the room and see if he should play the real one. Angelina tells him that she doesn't think that he needs to, but he's not convinced, so he goes and plays his real idol.
Despite Christian's pleading for "no more votes, please," the vote goes two to Alison, two to Davie negated, and three to Christian. So Christian ends up with 18, one short of matching the record.
